This report was compiled by JETRO—the Japan External
Trade Organization—in January 2006. It highlights the
enormous potential of the Hokkaido region as a tourist
destination, the contribution of Australians to the growth
of the region, and the challenges the area faces going forward.
A bit waffly, but balanced and factual, this is worthwhile
"big picture" reading.
